The 7 best free tools for working with Google Suggest keywords
A wide range of Google keyword generation tools are available to build a relevant content strategy. Among them, tools based on Google Suggest are particularly interesting, because Google largely draws on the popularity of queries to suggest results. The keywords generated therefore correspond to real demand on Google. Here is a selection of the free tools for working with Google Suggest keywords that we consider the best and most relevant.
What are the free keyword planning tools?
Answer The Public for precision research
Launched in 2014, “Answer the Public” automatically extracts Google autosuggestions from a keyword, pairing them with questions or prepositions. Answer the Public’s interface is especially well designed, with an HTML5 animation. The keyword you type brings up questions related to the searched keyword.
Answer The Public is very useful for content creation, since it helps you identify the answers to provide to users on a given topic. This tool also suggests prepositions related to the keyword, which can spark good content ideas, and everything can be exported to a CSV file. Finally, the user can choose the geographic match to find the keyword.
Ubersuggest
It would be hard to write an article about Google Suggest tools without mentioning Ubersuggest, well known among SEO professionals. Developed in 2013 by Alessandro Martin, an SEO expert at Reprise Media Italy, Ubersuggest offers a variety of features (keyword cloud, insertion of Google Trends for the keywords generated, and more). Direct access to the Google Trends chart for the keywords found is possible, which can be very useful in your keyword research. This tool lets you export the generated keywords as a CSV. Our experts tell you about the new features of Ubersuggest since Neil Patel took over the tool.
Freekeywordtool.net: find relevant keywords
A tool less well known than Ubersuggest.io, but no less interesting. Freekeywordtool offers searches on Google but also on YouTube, Bing, Amazon, eBay, Wikipedia, Yahoo, Yandex, and Ask, with export to CSV, Excel, or PDF. The site generates questions related to the keyword you type, and for English keywords it also suggests purchase-intent questions, information-request questions, and prepositions. All of it comes with the monthly search volume and the CPC of each word or group of words.
Update: The Freekeywordtool.net project has been discontinued.
Keywordshitter.com
As its name suggests, Keywordshitter is a unique free SEO tool. Its method is opaque (it extracts keywords from Google Suggest but also from other sources), but it meets the need to generate keywords derived from a chosen keyword very well. The tool is simple and fast, generates keywords in abundance with filters, and the results can be downloaded in txt format. A well-named tool, then.
Tejji.com/keyword/tools/google
What makes this free tool for working with Google Suggest keywords stand out: Tejji.com can generate keywords that come before the keyword you type, which creates highly relevant queries to target.
Searches can be run on Google.fr and in French, in particular. The generated keywords can be exported in TXT or CSV format.
Tools.seochat.com/tools/suggest-tool
SEOchat scrapes Google, but also Bing, Amazon, and YouTube. You can find extended data for each keyword generated, discover the CPC and search volume of the selected keywords, and export the results obtained as a .csv. We do, however, regret the lack of geographic origin for the search engines and of any language other than English in the searches.
Keyword Tool
The Keyword Tool tool, which extracts Google auto-suggestion results, offers a relatively exhaustive list of suggested keywords: the free version of Keywordtool.io can generate up to 750 queries for each keyword you type. The generated keywords can be exported. (Note that Google My Business reviews are not taken into account.) Searches are run on Google, YouTube, Bing, Amazon, and the App Store, in French, and across various Google addresses including Google.fr. The search volume, CPC, and the keyword’s competition in Adwords for the generated keywords, on the other hand, are paid features.
Thanks to its very efficient interface, Keyword Tool lets you search for and extract Google keywords very quickly.
