AI visibility

Do AI engines name your products when a shopper asks what to buy?

Semji answers that per engine and per question. It runs the questions your shoppers put to ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and DeepSeek, records whether your brand and your products were named, in what position, and whether one of your pages was cited as the source, then tracks the same set week over week.

Retail is where a generated answer costs the most, because the question was already transactional. Someone asking which model to buy for a given need is handed three names and a reason, and the shortlist is settled before any retailer is visited. Getting into it takes facts an engine can lift: specifications, comparisons, sizing, what the product is not for. A product page that repeats the supplier blurb gives it nothing to quote.

A prioritized list of retail pages, each scored by the optimization effort it needs against the value it would return.

Focus on SEO content that pays off

Semji scores every category and product page on your site against what shoppers are searching for, then ranks them by the revenue each would win against the work it would take. A catalogue of ten thousand URLs becomes a queue of twenty pages your team can actually work through this quarter.

An AI-generated brief for a product category page, with its recommended headings and questions ready for a writer.

Increase your sales and productivity

Every page comes with its brief: the questions to answer, the terms to cover and the Content Score to beat. Supplier copy repeated across four hundred product pages is what a retail site usually has, and it is what a buying guide with real specifications replaces.

How a retail team works through a catalogue with Semji

  1. 01

Find the pages where demand and margin already overlap

The priority score reads your whole catalogue and ranks it by the revenue each page would return against the work it would take, so a team of two knows which twenty pages come first.

  2. 02

Turn supplier copy into a page that answers the question

Each brief names the specifications, comparisons and sizing questions a shopper asks before adding to basket, and AI+ Brand Voice keeps four hundred product pages sounding like one retailer.

  3. 03

Report in revenue, and in the answers shoppers are shown

The dashboard follows traffic, conversions and SEO revenue per page, beside whether the AI engines name your products on the questions that end in a purchase.

Frequently asked questions

We have tens of thousands of product pages. Where do we start?

Semji scores your existing pages by the revenue each would return against the work it would take to get there, which turns a catalogue of ten thousand URLs into a ranked queue of twenty. Category pages usually come first, because one of them carries the demand that a hundred product pages split between them. Point.P worked that queue and grew SEO revenue 165%.

Our product descriptions come from our suppliers. Is that a problem?

It is the most common reason a retail catalogue underperforms, and it is now a problem twice over. Supplier copy is repeated word for word across every retailer that sells the item, so no page has a reason to rank, and an AI engine reading it finds nothing to quote that it cannot find on nine other sites. Semji briefs name the specifications, comparisons and use cases that make a page yours, and AI+ Brand Voice keeps hundreds of them consistent.

How is being cited by an AI engine different from ranking?

They are measured on different things and they do not move together. A ranking puts your page in a list the shopper chooses from, while a citation names your brand inside the answer itself, and a page can sit at position one on Google and appear in no AI answer to the same question. Semji tracks both on one set of questions, which is where the gap becomes visible.

Can Semji keep up with seasonal ranges?

Yes, and the priority score is what makes that practical. A range that matters for eight weeks does not justify the same effort as an evergreen category, so Semji ranks the seasonal pages against everything else competing for the same writer and shows which ones are close enough to the top to repay the work before the season ends.

Does this work across several countries and languages?

Yes. Semji covers 13 languages and 128 countries from one workspace, so a retailer with a site per market works from one method and one Content Score and can compare markets directly. Groupe SEB industrialised its SEO content production globally on that basis, and grew monthly content conversions 228%.
