How to decide which content to prioritize to improve your site’s performance?
During webinars and conferences, the Semji team regularly shares its expertise on SEO and Content Marketing topics. At these events, we often come back to a figure that is startling but also thought-provoking: 91% of web content generates no organic traffic ( Ahrefs). Budgets keep growing larger, since Content is seen as THE most effective SEO tactic ( Ascend2 SEO Tactics study). And when we talk about investment, we naturally expect results in return. So how can you finally make your content visible and, above all, ROI-driven!
Semji is THE solution for revealing the transformation potential of your content.
The platform identifies the “nugget” content on your site with strong transformation potential. Each piece of content is assigned a Content Score. It tells you which pieces your team should improve. Your writers simply have to follow the recommendations provided in the Semji brief to maximize their content’s SEO relevance and reach the best possible Content Score (recommended minimum 90/100).
Which content should you prioritize to improve your site’s ranking and visibility?
With Semji, you have two ways to import only content with strong traffic and conversion potential.
Browse Top Pages: Focus your efforts only on winning content.
Here Semji crawls the best pages on your site. The platform reveals the list of content to prioritize — the pieces your team will need the least optimization effort on and where the gains are highest (traffic, conversion, revenue, etc.).
After scanning your entire site, Semji shows the following data for each piece of content: the targeted keyword with its associated search volume, the traffic obtained per month, and the position this content has reached.

Before the final import, you can filter the content you want to focus your SEO optimization efforts on using advanced criteria. For example, you can display only content ranking between positions 5 and 10, with monthly traffic below 1,000 and a search volume above 2,000 — which points to plenty of room for improvement!

In a second step, for each piece of content being imported, you need to select the keyword for which Semji will deliver its analysis. In addition to your main keyword, Semji suggests others to target — new ones where it’s possible to gain positions and generate gains!

Import URL: Import only the content you want to optimize.
If you already have in mind the pages you want to optimize, you can import your URLs directly into Semji. This makes it easy to quickly populate your editorial calendar in just a few clicks. For each URL you add, Semji targets the keyword where you have strong potential for gains and suggests others that can create new opportunities for you.
Semji helps us save time and work more efficiently. Our in-house SEO resources no longer have to spend hours researching, thanks to the recommendations delivered in seconds in the platform.

How to get off to a good start producing and optimizing your priority content?
After import, the Pages screen lets you find all the selected URLs and, for each of them, the targeted keyword, your page’s position on the SERP, monthly traffic, search volume, and the Content Score obtained. Here Semji defines the priority level of each piece of content to optimize and determines which URL has the strongest growth potential. The platform’s algorithm cross-references several data points such as query volume, ranking, and the production effort your team needs to provide.

To get your Content Marketing strategy off to a good start, begin by organizing your content production in Semji’s Planning area. In your workspace, you can assign a writer, set a status, and define a delivery date. Your team is all set to start optimizing your content!
