The Digital Fortress™ concept was developed in 2012 by Reputation VIP. It is an effective way to protect your e-reputation and regain control of your first Google page. Built on unique technology, Digital Fortress™ lets you choose the content you want to see when someone searches your name or your brand on Google. The first goal is to build an image that looks like you, whether you are a person or a company.

When a user wants to learn about you, they will “Google” you: type your name into Google to find out who you are. Digital Fortress™ is meant to make sure that person, behind their keyboard, first reaches information you have chosen, so you can benefit from a good image with them. Results that do not suit you, because they are outdated or because they touch on privacy, will not be deleted. They will simply no longer be visible on Google’s first results page, the page that concentrates 91% of clicks on a Google search. What matters on the web is being reactive, and Digital Fortress™ is there to act fast and sort the data that concerns you. Without Digital Fortress™, Google decides the order of the information.

This is not an SEO matter

If you want a view of Digital Fortress™, know that it is not, as you might first think, SEO. This technology acts on how search-engine results are arranged, across every result for a query on your name. SEO, by contrast, acts on a single result for a query about your profession or your sector. The interest of this solution is that the consumer or user will spontaneously trust the first information they get when they type your name into Google. They will not necessarily go further if those results are negative. If the first links that mention you do not match the image you want to give, those are the ones visitors will remember, even if they no longer represent what you do today. That is why this part is important to control.

A ranking that matches you

The Digital Fortress™ concept is therefore meant to order the links so that those on page one match you. The effects are immediate. You can get, on your first Google page, a list of comments, articles, or links that suit you and match your image. Users always trust the first search results. Generally they will not even go past Google’s first page. So if that page is made of positive views of you, you can have a good e-reputation, while the underlying data stays the same. Here it is by controlling their order that you change how the visitor sees the entity in question.
